Genomic Health is seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst the organization in a variety of compliance efforts. This position reports directly to the Director of Compliance - Interim Compliance Officer. The Senior Compliance Analyst is a high-level position in the Compliance Department. This role provides support for the company in compliance investigations (including hotline reports, employee complaints and privacy issues), administers the Grants program, manages the Stark Act compliance program, and oversees the annual FCPA certification process. Additional responsibilities include developing and implementing approved policies, and making recommendations for changes to existing Genomic Health's policies and procedures. The position is based out of our Redwood City, CA corporate office. The ideal candidate will be professional and personable, highly detailed-oriented, organized, able to multi task, proactive, able to take initiative, have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), able to show poise under stress, and lastly, bring a positive attitude that works both individually and in a team environment. Experience with internal training and compliance monitoring activities is strongly preferred. Healthcare industry experience is also preferred.


· A key requirement for this position is building cross-functional relationships with not only peers, but also, executives across the organization
· Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all investigations
· Project management of investigations as directed by Director of Compliance
· Partner with business leaders to investigate issues and support corrective actions
· Provide compliance counsel during investigation process and to employees who have questions about privacy, grants, and processes
· Develop, implement and support GHI's standard investigation process and protocols across multiple functions and geographies
· Maintain database of controlled-access documentation
· Develop and update GHI's investigative process templates (report forms, interview questionnaires, all documentation related to incidents and reports)
· Lead internal case review meetings for alleged violations and help determine next steps
· Partners with HR for investigation support
· Conducts trend analysis, tracks and report case metrics (including intake, alleged violations, discipline, etc.) and summarizes results for internal reporting purposes (monthly and quarterly)
· Provide strategy for risk management based on trend analysis of investigations and complaints
· Develops tools to manage the investigation case lifecycle from intake to resolution
· Maintain objectivity and "seek to understand" attitude in investigations to determine root cause and mitigation and corrective action recommendations

Grants, Sponsorship and Charity:
GHI's grant and charitable contribution programs supports a variety of organizations and initiatives to enhance medical and patient education, and further clinical research and development efforts in the area of genomic medicine. The administrator of the grants program oversees the smooth operation of this process and is the primary point of contact between the applicant and GHI. This position partners closely with the Grant Review Board, the Compliance Officer and internal business leads as appropriate.

· Implement and manage external and internal grant portal software systems
· Manage vendor relationship with grant portal vendor including bug fixes, software upgrades and recommendation for product improvements
· Review and approve patient advocacy
· Review all US and International grant applications for appropriate documentation and adherence to applicable industry laws and regulations, and GHI grants policy
· Facilitate initial review of grant requests by Chief Medical Officer and other stakeholders
· Lead monthly Grant Review Board meetings and document and implement funding decisions
· Execute contracts and partner with Finance department for payment awards, quarterly budget reconciliation, and financial audits
· Develop specific training tools as required to communicate grants policies to GHI employees
· Provide support for developing and updating policies and procedures related to the Grant Review Board
· Train employees on grants versus sponsorships and source applications appropriately


· Four-year BA/BS degree; MBA preferred, CFE, CPA desirable
· Certified in Healthcare Compliance by a national association or university, with at least 8 years relevant work experience with an emphasis on legal/compliance audits and investigations
· Familiarity with applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules and regulations of the healthcare industry
· Requires limited direction to complete standard work
· Able to maintain confidentiality of highly private investigations and other matters
· Experience conducting internal audits and managing recommendation outcomes
· Experience conducting corporate internal investigations including intake, investigation, resolution and written summary reports
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficient with databases and case management systems and tools
· Proactive, highly responsive, collaborative, diplomatic, flexible and adaptive
· Ability to work independently and use good judgment while also collaborating frequently across departments
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, contractors, supervisors, healthcare professionals and others
· Self-starter without requiring hands-on supervision
· Ability to manage up and work well with executive team members

· Healthcare industry experience
· Familiarity with industry standard IT & security tools, processes, and procedures
· Experience in learning management systems and content development
